Success!

Thanks to the support of over 500 donors, MI List has contributed more than $50,000 directly to pro-choice Democratic women running for office.

Of the 7 candidates we endorsed in 2004, 7 of them won.

Of the 10 candidates we endorsed in 2006, 8 of them won.

Looking ahead to 2008, MI List is strategizing to capitalize on the 45 open House seats in this coming Presidential Election Year. Together with the efforts of others, we will expand the Democratic majority in the state house, help elect a Democratic President and lay the groundwork for regaining the majority in the state senate in 2010...just in time for re-districting!

Creating the Farm Team

With some 150 pro-choice Democratic women having completed the tested and perfected EMILY's List candidate training, MI List is eager to tap this pool of highly motivated women. Knowing that term limits will create 45 open seats in 2008 and 66 open seats in 2010, MI List is working to identify, recruit and prepare candidates to run and win.

Keeping in mind that the 2010 national census will impose new district boundaries for 2012, MI List is taking a long term view to ensure the election of a progressive majority well into the future.

Help MI List achieve its goal of a pro-choice Democratic majority by sending prospective candidates our way. The simple gesture of asking a woman to run can make the critical difference. Help us by asking women to run. Help us spread the word that MI List wants to make them winners.

Email contact information, no matter how seemingly incomplete, to barb@milist.org. We'll pick up the thread and follow it as far as we can.
